How AeroSorber works
How AeroSorber works
AeroSorber damps shocks and vibrations up to at least 80%, and what is unique about our product that it also damps in the lower and most critical frequencies. This makes AeroSorber ideally suited for the most vulnerable products. This includes artistic expressions such as paintings and sculptures, but also equipment such as sensitive measuring instruments, which can be sent all over the world with the help of AeroSorber.
Product
AeroSorber is a small compact product with impressive performance. The AeroSorber is a rectangular compressable block with dimensions of 130 x 90 x 55 mm that can carry a weight up 15 to 20 kg per block, depending on the configuration. By combining multiple AeroSorbers, a damping system is obtained that dampens up to 80% of the energy generated by shocks and vibrations from outside. Extensive laboratory tests (see picture below) have verified these figures and by logging various transports, AeroSorber also proved to perform excellently in practice. The AeroSorber is easy to assemble, which makes buffering in three dimensions easy to achieve. This allows very fragile products such as paintings, statues, fragile equipment to be transported worldwide by truck, train, boat and plane. The AeroSorber takes up little space due to its compact dimensions and therefore requires little storage space. The AeroSorber is very light, which makes handling easy. The AeroSorber is easy to separate and dispose of and is intended for single use. Due to its unique properties, the Aerosorber is an economically advantageous product with excellent damping characteristics and is very suitable for applications in transport in the art world.
Performance of AeroSorber
The effectiveness of damping is clearly visible on the graph below, in which energy input on the vertical scale is compared to frequencies on the horizontal scale. The scale is logaritmic, which means that each horizontal line is differs by a factor 10. The blue line represents input of vibrations due to transport, the green line shows the measure vibrations on the object being protected by AeroSorber. For frequencies starting from 7 HZ to over 200 Hz damping is realised. For the most critical frequencies for vulnarable goods mostly in the range of 15 Hz to 100 Hz a damping factor between 10 up to 80 will be reached.
